Hachiko Line derailed and overturned accident
February 25, 1947 7:50
Driven by C5793, 6 - car passenger train to go to Takasaki in overcrowded,
Could not turn over rate for the 250m radius corners, rear 4 cars derailed,
fell 5.6m from the field on the embankment below the wrecked car.
184 passengers died, was a major accident that injured 495 people.
This accident site, the memorial is built.
Cache hid near the memorial.

八高線列車脱線転覆事故
1947年（昭和22年）2月25日 7時50分
C5793が牽引し、6両編成で超満員の高崎行の客車列車が
過速度のため半径250mのカーブを曲がりきれず、後部4両が脱線し
築堤上から5.6m下の畑に転落、その客車は大破しました。
乗客184名が死亡し、495名が負傷するという大事故となりました。
この事故現場には、慰霊碑が建てられています。
Cacheを慰霊碑の近くに隠しました。
ペンを持参して下さい。
