Geocache Description:

Built in 1895, the church is listed as being of 'special historical interest'.By the late 19th century, the centre of the parish had shifted away from Kelvedon Hall. The village was expanding on the former common land, and the new school building was also being used for services and prayers.

In 1892, the rector, the Rev. David Peregrine, proposed building a new church. After an energetic fund raising campaign the building commenced in September 1894 and the church was consecrated on 1 November, 1895.

Builders of the church.

Please do not try to attempt to retrieve the cache from the road there is plenty of parking at the front of the church, a short walk through the churchyard and out the back gate will lead you nicely to the cache.

If anybody would like to expand on this series please do so. Could you please let sadexploration know first so he can keep track of the Church numbers and names to avoid duplication.
