This cache is under a sagebrush bush and is in a waterbottle
tethered to a rock (it gets windy here!). Make sure to look for
deer and antelope on your way to the cache - we see them almost
everyday. Also make sure to take a look at all the mountains around
you. To the west are Cedar and Rattlesnake Mtns. To the north is
Heart Mountain and in the distance are both the Beartooths and the
Pryors. To the east lie McCullough Peaks (colorful mud hills). And
to the south are some low hogback hills.
Although you will be walking along a golf course access road,
the road is very rough and is restricted access. You cannot drive
along it but you can walk or mountain bike on this road. If you are
visiting the cache after it's rained, the road will be extremely
muddy and slick - walking can be difficult and biking is
impossible. Luckily it doesn't rain often. (Dry conditions rating
1; Wet and muddy conditions 3)
The original contents of the cache include:
- a couple of sheriff and deputy badges,
- a Cody, WY pin,
- a cowboy boot key ring,
- a beanie baby bear, and
- a guest register (please sign in!)
Other western items will be added periodically.
