This cache is situated near some animal habitat boxes. If you look carefully there are bat boxes and dormouse boxes on the tree near here. The bypass was built with great consideration to the wildlife.
There is an unactivated geotag for the FTF
This is one of a set of caches placed along the new community route alongside the church village bypass. This road has been in the planning stages since the 1950's and finally opened on 7th Sept 2010. The first cars along it were Gilbern cars which were produced in Llantwit Fardre from the 1950's to the 1970's, about 100 being made. The community route runs from Cross Inn to Tonteg and was opened on 8th August 2010.
It is possible to park at various places just off the new road to access the community route. At Cross Inn it is at N 51 32.305 W+003 21.665.
