Geocache Description:

November 6th, 2010 -- 1:00pm - 4:00pm

It's time for your annual opportunity to get together with the Colorado Geocaching Community for chatting, sharing, kibitzing, nibbling, learning, and much, much more!!

RSVP Now if you think you might be able to attend! We're hoping this will be Colorado's LARGEST EVENT EVER!!!

NO COST to attend! No membership required to attend! No number of Geocaches found to attend!!

This year there's the added bonus of being able to create your very own Traveling Racer to send out on a GeoAdventure, complete with a newly-created UNIQUE TRACKABLE ICON for GCCO's own, Racer Rally.
Historically, a Road Rally is a car race that takes place on the public roads. Road Rallies have been a popular sport in Europe for over 100 years, probably dating from the Paris-Bordeaux-Paris Rally of June 1895. This "grass roots" club-based amateur motorsport is traditionally very inexpensive to compete in. Rallies require relatively minor preparations and are accessible to Racers of all ability levels.

Racers compete over a predetermined course against the clock. There is no direct head-to-head racing and the emphasis is on navigation and teamwork rather than out-and-out speed.
Now that you know a little of the history of Rallying ~ Welcome to GCCO’s 2010 Trackable version of a Road Rally!
Geocachers who wish to be Racers must purchase a GCCO Trackable Rally Car to participate in this race. Geocachers can purchase as many Trackable Racers as they wish.
The Check-In and Rally Kick-Off will be at the 2010 GCCO Geochat on Saturday, November 6th.
Full rules will be posted soon but, as a preview, Trackable Racers can gain points through a number of actions and travels including, but not limited to:
  • Accessorizing your Trackable(s) at the GeoChat
  • Traveling to unique states, provinces, and countries
  • Traveling from cache to cache
  • Being picked up by unique cachers

Official Rally Events and Additional Heats will be scheduled throughout the coming year.
Prizes will be awarded to those Racers earning the most points.

Start your engines and let's Hit The Road for some Geocaching Trackable Fun!!!
