A lungo si è fatta attendere, 32 anni per riassaporare uno dei
luoghi più incantevoli di quest'isola romantica; tra fiori di
zagara e profumo di limoni scenderai per questa strada verso il
paradiso; il sole ti accompagnerà in ogni angolo, ma se vorrai
ripararti, sotto un albero io non ti consiglio, cerca qualcosa di
estraneo ed troverai finalmente ciò che desideri.

It's a little white cylindrical jar of "Whitehall Multicentrum"
(geocaching.com signal on the cup), small but large enough to
contain geocoin and small objects. It contains the basic
instruction sheet, a logbook and two capsules of silica gel
anti-moisture (please do not remove!), the FTF will find also a
small bag of mysterious seeds to plant ("Seed Your Life, Grow Your
Mind" ... certainly not to become gardeners). Located in a medium
frequented place, the nonchalance is undoubtedly the best way to
avoid arousing suspicion, perhaps pretending to rest. Replace the
cache in exactly same way, maybe hiding it in the best way from
curious eyes!
REMEMBER TO BRING A PEN FOR THE LOGBOOK! (too long for the cache)
and do not forget to leave a comment (please).

E' un piccolo barattolo cilindrico bianco di Whitehall Multicentrum
(ha un adesivo di geocaching.com sul tappo), piccolo ma abbastanza
capiente per geocoin e piccoli oggetti. Contiene di base un foglio
di istruzioni, un logbook e due capsule di silica gel anti-umidità
(da non rimuovere!), il FTF troverà un piccolo sacchettino di semi
misteriosi da piantare ("Seed your life, grow your mind"...non di
certo per diventar giardinieri!). Si trova in un luogo mediamente
frequentato, la nonchalance è sicuramente il modo migliore per non
destar sospetti, magari facendo finta di riposarsi. Riposizionate
la cache esattamente nello stesso modo, possibilmente nascondendola
alla meglio da occhi curiosamente indiscreti!
RICORDATE DI PORTARE UNA PENNA PER IL LOGBOOK! (che nella cache non
è entrata) e non dimenticate di lasciare un commento (per
favore).

Overlooking from the viewpoint of the "Giardini di Augusto" and
looking down, you will see a road clinging to the rock down,
bending in on itself until the rocks and the beaches of Marina
Piccola. It's the legendary "Via Krupp", one of the most popular
and beloved of the island that thirty-two years after closing and a
complex work for its recovery, she returned in the 2008 to be
viable. Finally, islanders and tourists will no longer confined to
admire the way from the highs, like a mirage, but may walk along
the narrow winding parallel to the sea in a walk through nature and
history. The flora of the area is typical of the Mediterranean:
flowers, wild myrtle, mastic, juniper, agave and several varieties
of pine.
The road has a story that began in the early twentieth century
linked to Friedrich Alfred Krupp, the owner of the homonymous
German steelworks, was a fan of biological marine researches and
loved to go to Capri with his yacht moored in that bay of Marina
Piccola. For easy access to the boat from the Grand Hotel Quisisana
he built this beautiful scenic road carved into the rocky ridge
dominated by the Gardens of Augustus. The road climbs more than one
hundred meters. The project was entrusted to engineer Emilio Mayer,
which nourish the slopes of the rock wall in the spring of 1902
allowed the inauguration of this spectacular journey along more
than one kilometer. Looking down or walk, gives a stunning effect
so that it can be considered a true work of art softened by
Mediterranean vegetation that grows spontaneously. Bends along the
Via Krupp meets the transition leading to the grotto of Fra'Felice,
a small cave where "the king of the guns" had built a house
overlooking the sea.
Obviously a visit to the "Giardini di Augusto" is required before
climbing via Krupp, meet a few meters before, but above all it's
absolutely a must a dip in the clear waters of Marina Piccola, not
more than 15 minutes far away. Capri is an paradisiac island, and
to appreciate it totally, you have just to long walks between the
colors of this little corner of paradise, among the scents of lemon
trees and orange blossom, which can leave you ecstatic. Therefore
avoid long lines for the funicular and choose to make your walk
along the right way well marked to the piazzetta; avoid taking the
bus, expensive and overcrowded, reaching Marina Piccola from the
square is one of the most enjoyable experiences that you may have,
following this famous Via Krupp.

Affacciandosi dal belvedere dei Giardini di Augusto e guardando
verso il basso, scorgerete una strada aggrappata alla roccia che
scende, piegandosi su se stessa, fino agli scogli e alle spiaggette
di Marina Piccola. E' la mitica Via Krupp, uno dei luoghi più
conosciuti e amati dell'isola che, dopo trentadue anni di chiusura
e un complesso lavoro di recupero, è tornata nel 2008 ad essere
percorribile. Finalmente isolani e turisti non dovranno più
limitarsi ad ammirare la strada dall”alto, come un miraggio,
ma potranno incamminarsi lungo gli stretti tornanti paralleli a
picco sul mare in una passeggiata tra natura e storia. La flora
della zona è quella tipica della macchia mediterranea: fiori
selvatici, mirto, lentisco, ginepro, agavi e diverse varietà di
pini.
La strada ha una storia iniziata ai primi del Novecento legata ad
Friedrich Alfred Krupp, proprietario delle omonime acciaierie
tedesche; era un appassionato di ricerche biologiche marine, e
amava recarsi a Capri con il suo panfilo che ormeggiava nella Baia
di Marina Piccola. Per raggiungere facilmente l'imbarcazione dalle
suite del Grand Hotel Quisisana fece costruire questa splendida
strada panoramica scavata nel costone roccioso sovrastato dai
Giardini di Augusto. La strada supera un dislivello di roccia alto
cento metri. Il progetto fu affidato all”ingegnere Emilio
Mayer, che assecondando le pendenze della parete di roccia, nella
primavera del 1902 permise l”inaugurazione di questo
spettacolare percorso lungo oltre un chilometro. Guardandola
dall’alto o percorrendola, regala un effetto così
strabiliante da poterla ritenere una vera e propria opera
d‘arte, addolcita dalla vegetazione tipicamente mediterranea
che spontaneamente vi cresce. Lungo i tornanti di Via Krupp si
incontra anche il passaggio che porta alla grotta di Fra' Felice,
un piccolo antro dove "il re dei cannoni" fece costruire una
villetta affacciata sul mare.
Ovviamente sosta obbligata rappresenta, prima di inerpicarsi per
via krupp, sono i Giardini di Augusto che incontrerete pochi metri
prima, ma sopratutto è d'uopo un bagno fra le limpidissime acque di
Marina Piccola, distante non più di 15 minuti. Capri è un'isola
paradisiaca, e per apprezzarla a pieno, sono solo le lunghe
camminate fra i colori di questo piccolo angolo di paradiso, fra i
profumi di alberi di limone e fiori di zagara, che possono
lasciarvi estasiati. Pertanto evitate lunghe file per la funicolare
e scegliete di farvela a piedi, seguendo la via ben segnalata,
risparmierete il triplo del tempo; evitate di prendere i pullman,
costosi e sovraffollati, raggiungere Marina Piccola a partire dalla
piazzetta è una delle esperienze più piacevoli che possiate
trascorrere, seguendo questa famosa via krupp.
