Cross/Exit 401 at Courtice Rd. Year round entrances at N43° 52.851 W78° 44.466 and N43° 52.434 W78° 44.342. Walk, ski, jog in winter. Cinder loop path suitable for stroller in summer.
A pleasant loop off the Waterfront Trail. We like it because after lake freeze-up, trail usually remains either snow-free or hard packed. Cache is 6x6x3 plastic container w/white lid. Original contents:
- Shelley's tennis ball
- stuffed Eyeore stroller toy
- some Smiley faces
- carved sea shell, et.al.
BTW, our fitness rate is Beware of Osprey in summer and have a good walk.
Checked cache Mar 02/02 and suprised to find it still hidden to unsearching eyes. Plus, the cache has prospered.
Came in from eastern entrance to avoid the strong winds to-day. A little longer hike (2.2km each way) but a pleasant more natural hike. We also noticed that just NE of cache beavers have built dams either side of the path. Other side of fence they've downed many trees. Maybe you'll be lucky enough to see the builders. Enjoy
