Under the Hill Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Vohnoutka: It's time to archive this cache. There is going to be ditch digging and road construction in the area this summer, both will likely affect the cache location as well as cause inconvenence for the construction crews and families living nearby on this dead-end road. Thanks to all who stopped by and shared their stories.

Geocache Description:

At the dead-end of a gravel road maintained by the township. Walk back off-road a bit to find it.

Cache is a 30-cal ammo box with log, pens, pencils, and room for trackables and other trade items.

The township road ends here, and gravel driveways lead off to two farms that were bought in the early 1900's by my grandfather and his brother. Today, only one remains in the family.
The cache name comes from the long-time description we've had for this area, and it would not be uncommon to hear something like, "I saw two deer under the hill!" around the house as we were growing up.

The "No Trespassing" signs in the area are intended for deer hunters, not cache hunters.

The cache will receive routine and regular maintenance by the family members still living on the nearby farm.
