I walked in to my local photo shop and asked what they do with all their old 35mm film canisters, and was promptly given a whole carrier bag full! So I have been customising them to become caches!
This cache takes you on a walk around the town of St Helier - all the way around!
The posted coordinates are not those of the cache, but of the newest and quite controversial Radisson Hotel.
Starting from around the Weighbridge / Bus Station area (plenty of parking available) follow the ring road from The Avenue going west, turn right at The Grand Hotel, join St Aubins Road then filter right and then left through Cheapside to join Elizabeth Place, which becomes Rouge Bouillon.
At the Roundabout turn right (2nd exit) and continue to follow Rouge Bouillon. Straight on at the traffic lights and the road becomes Springfield Road. Turn right as the road goes uphill to join St Saviors Road.
Continue straight on St Saviours road (this is a tricky road to drive - left hand lane to start then it turns 2 way, then 1 way again and you should cross to the right hand lane and back again after the turn off to the left hand lane, then you can stay there as it is 2 way again!)
Straight at the traffic lights and the road becomes St James St. You are forced to turn left into Don Road, then keep in the right hand lane to turn right at the lights.
Follow the road around to the right, then turn left as the road splits to join Green Street.
At the end of Green Street is a roundabout, turn right (3rd exit) to go through the tunnel and rejoin The Avenue!
The photos below are taken from the front of hotels located on the St Helier ring road AS DESCRIBED ABOVE. Find the photo location, turn around and note down the name of the hotel. Ignoring the words "The" and "Hotel" note down the number of letters in the name of the hotel. For example "The Club Hotel" is 4 letters (ignoring "The" and "Hotel" you are left with "Club" = 4 letters).
