Geocache Description:

"Chautauqua County is the country's top grape-producing county outside California, that, as they ripen in fall, the aroma fills the air like spicy sweet incense" per Bob Blatz, Jr. from the Pittsburgh Post Gazzett.

The smell of the concord grape is actually magical come October!!

Westfield NY is considered the "Grape Juice Capital of the world".....along with this title it brings you many fine wineries scattered through out our country side. .........It is also home to Welch Grape Juice Plant, Growers Grape Co-op, and Mogan David Winery.

The micro climate that settles along this Lake Erie shore line creates a warm pocket for the grapes to grow. A few of the varities are Concord, Niagara, Delaware, Catawba and some French hybrids such as Seyval Blanc....... The Nobel Winery was founded by Pete and Diane Nobel... Enjoy the scenic drive to their family owned winery... They were area grape farmers with a vision...retiring from their "day jobs" they began a new venture in life in 2006.. Stop in and say hello to this fun loving couple!.... The view from their winery is breath taking.....and the sunsets are amazing! Welcome to Chautauqua County Grape Country...enjoy.

This cache was placed by permission of the property owners....they have requested NO NIGHT TIME CACHING PLEASE due to their security system.
