At a surprisingly natural spot adjacent to a busy highway, you will see where water from the Charles River is diverted over a dam to feed the Mother Brook. Cache is a small plastic pill bottle. This is one of my 3-part Mother Brook series, along with GC2CBYR and GC2D7VB. This one's an easy Park & Grab.
Access is via a small parking lot on Providence Hwy (old Rt. 1) across the road from Uno’s. You will see a small brick building there too. This is a popular spot for fishing and a good canoe/kayak launch point. Walk down to the river and take a look - it's only a few steps from the parking area.

Mother Brook is the modern name for a stream that flows from the Charles River in Dedham, MA to the Neponset River in the Hyde Park section of Boston. Mother Brook was also known variously as East Brook and Mill Brook in earlier times. The man-made portion of Mother Brook is considered to have been the first canal in America dug by English settlers. Because there is a 40-foot drop in water level between the Charles and Neponset, Mother Brook provided an important source of power for mills from falling water from 1639 into the early 20th century.
