Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed in the best location I could ever ask for to honor one of my favorite summer libation, the Gin & Tonic.

This cache is located at a very scenic point along the Rainbow Lake Trail. The trail is accessed from Alta Lake Road near the Whistler Cemetery. At the trail-head there is parking for approximately 10 vehicles. The cache is located about 4 1/2 Km. from the trail-head on a "fairly" well established trail. The trail receives quite a bit of use, we saw probably 35-40 people on our hike that ended at Rainbow Lake. The trail has a LOT of elevation gain, approximately 800 meters up to Rainbow lake, Wear appropriate hiking shoes and use caution as there are lots of trip hazards. In the summer months, insect repellent is very nice to have with you.

In the cache I have placed 4 very nice items for the first four finders of the cache, please use the honor system so several cachers can enjoy a little bonus even though they weren't FTF..

NOTE and WARNING,
This cache is placed near a steep embankment that ends in a very cold stream. DO NOT venture off the trail when seeking the cache. It CAN be accessed from the deck of the bridge. The center portion of the bridge is removed during the winter but the cache is still available from the Alta Road access point (if you like hiking in very deep snow!)
