Horton Park Traditional Geocache
gravitybear: Yup, it is gone. Someone else can have the spot, or I'll think of another idea for this nice little park.

From, "The Street Where You Live," by Donald Empson...
"Horton Park - Acquired in 1907, this three-and-a-half-acre park at Minehaha and Hamline Avenues has become a mini-arboretum. In the mid-1970s, St. Paul lost thousands of elm trees to disease. As part of a citywide reforestation program beginning in 1977, the arboretum was donated by the St. Paul Companies on its 125th anniversary in 1978. In the park are selected varities of trees intended to help residents decide which of these trees would best restore the traditional green canopy of the city. The name commemorates the death of Hiler H Horton."
