Nikapotha is the end of our 3-caches tour. This 6-8 hours hike is an interesting experience in different landscapes, climates, flora and fauna. It starts in the cool mountains of Haputale, comes down from Kelburne tea estate to the warm forest of 80 Acres and ends in the sultry, thick and dark forest of Nikapotha. Altitudes are from 1500-760 m. Most interesting was to enter the noisy jungle with giant trees. And a big black animal walked on my side!
