Lock N' Lock Box
The title of this cache is one of my favorite expression at McieD when I'm out caching.
From the road near pavilion, look for trail head near a sign that says "To PA 22". The trail does come out about 100 yards from cache near the entrance to the park.
GPS signal here is bit spotty but be observant for a likely hiding spot.
This cache is 2nd of 3 placed in Sugar Hill State Forest for the Women in the Outdoors program on July 23 & 24, 2010.This cache is a little harder because of the hills. These caches will be published after this event to give the women the FTFs.
Sugar Hill State Forest is a little known State Park. It is rustic. There are very modern bathrooms with regular toilets and sinks but no showers. There is drinking water available around the campgrounds. It is noted for horse back riding and snowmobiles on the trails. There is camping for both trailers and tents. There is no fee for camping. There are picnic tables and fire rings at the campsites.
There is a fire tower that you are allowed to climb. Wonderful views of the surrounding area are available from up there.
There are many trails and maps available.
The park is about 8 miles West of Watkins Glen.
