Geocache Description:

A small camo'ed Lock & Lock.

For parking and other info see This doesn't look like Stafford Hill (GC2BN4H)

The English word portage is derived from the French noun "portage" and verb "porter" : to carry. Early French explorers ventured in New France and French Louisiana encountered many rapids and cascades. The Amerindians carried their canoes over land to avoid river obstacles.

This cache is terrain 5.0 because of the need for special equipment. Paddling to this one is equivalent to hiking a terrain 3.0 cache.
