Ein kleiner Traditional auf dem Nordgipfel der Gefrorene Wand
Spitzen.
A small traditional on the northpeak of
the Gefrorene Wand peaks.

Die Gefrorene Wand ist eine doppelgipfelige markante Erhebung
nordöstlich des Olperer im Kammverlauf des Tuxer Kamms in den
Zillertaler Alpen. Der Nordgipfel ist etwas höher als der
Südgipfel, welcher jedoch schwieriger zu Besteigen ist. Von Norden
gesehen ist die Gefrorene Wand ein stumpfer Firnkegel mit dunklem
Felsaufbau, von dem das Gefrorene-Wand-Kees niederfließt. Die
Erstersteigung des Nordgipfels erfolgte im Jahre 1867, die
Erstersteigung des Südgipfels erfolgte im Jahre 1872.
Mittlerweile befindet sich in der Scharte zwischen den beiden
Gipfeln die Bergstation der Hintertuxer Gletscherbahn, wodurch die
Ersteigung des Nordgipfels erheblich erleichtert wird.
The Gefrorene Wand (frozen wall) is a
doublepeaked elevation northeast of the Olperer in the crest of the
Tuxer Kamm in the Zillertal alps. The northern summit is a little
bit higher than the southern summit, which is more difficult to
climb. Seen from the north the Gefrorene Wand is an edgeless
firncone with a dark rock body of which the Gefrorene-Wand-glacier
flows down. The northpeak was first climbed in the year 1867, the
south peak was first climbed in 1872.
Nowadays the top station of the Hintertuxer Gletscherbahn is
between the two summits, which makes the climbing of the northern
summit a lot easier.
Der leichteste und kürzeste Anstieg zum Nordgipfel erfolgt von der
Scharte zwischen den beiden Gipfeln aus.
Der Aufstieg hier hin erfolgt vom Spannagelhaus aus mit
Gletscherausrüstung über das Gefrorene-Wand-Kees in etwa 2,5
Stunden.
Alternativ kann man mit der Gletscherbahn bis zur Bergstation
fahren und den Gipfel in wenigen Minuten erreichen.
Man muss zur Station des Sessellift gehen, um von dort aus den Grat
zu erreichen. Dazu muss man Richtung Sessellift-Talfahrt gehen. In
diesem Gang zweigt nach rechts eine Tür mit der Aufschrift "Zum
Gipfel".
The easiest and shortest way to the
north peak is from the jag between the summits.
You can reach this jag from the Spannagelhaus with glacierequipment
via the Gefrorene-Wand-glacier in about 2,5 hours.
Alternatively you can use the cable car to reach the jag and reach
the summit in a few minutes.
You have to enter the chairliftstation to reach the cache. In the
station a door is on the right which says "To the
top".
Achtung: Dieser Cache befindet sich in
hochalpinem Gelände! Solltet ihr nicht Trittsicher oder
Schwindelfrei sein, hebt diesen Cache nicht!
In den Wintermonaten (Oktober bis Juni) kann das Heben des Cache
schwierig bis unmöglich werden. Begebt euch nicht in Gefahr, wenn
ihr unsicher seit, kehrt um!
Attention: This cache is in an high alpine area!
If you are not sure-footed or have no head for heights, do not
attempt this cache!
In the wintermonths (October to June) the cache may be hard or
impossible to find. Do not endanger yourself, if you are
unconfident, turn back!
