Deux châteaux pour Pointis-Inard : un "en haut" et l'autre "en bas" !
Ce château qui date de la fin du XVIIe siècle était la demeure des seigneurs de Pointis : les Saint Jean de Pointis.
Il appartient à présent à la mairie mais le bâtiment est désaffecté. Seul son parc, avec de nombreux jeux pour les enfants, est ouvert au public.
La lucarne centrale porte les armoiries de la famille Saint Jean.
A la fin du XVIIe siècle, cette gentilhommière qui avait pu être une maison forte perdit tout caractère défensif et présente aujourd'hui l'aspect d'une tranquille résidence champêtre.
Depuis le parc, vous aurez une belle vue sur "le château d'en haut".

Two châteaux for Pointis-Inard: one "up" and the other one "down"!
This château which dates from the late seventeenth century was the home of the lords of Pointis: les Saint Jean de Pointis.
It belongs now to the town hall but the building is disused. Only its park, with many games for children, is open to the public.
The central dormer window bears the arms of the Saint Jeans.
At the end of the seventeenth century, this manor house which was supposedly a stronghold lost all its defensive characteristics and today, it looks like a quiet country home.
From the park, you will have a nice view over "le château d'en haut".
