Taka ved pari senam kapam (kangariem) un mitram starpkapu ieplakam (vigam), kas veidojušies pirms vairakiem tukstošiem gadu, kad šeit vel vilnojas jura. Senakos laikos teju ikvienam kangaram un vigai bija nosaukums, musdienas tos zin vairs retais. Ipatnejie nosaukumi (Viškangars, Kusperlankviga) radušies no libiešu valodas. Peterezera dabas taka škerso bijušo Ziemelkurzemes šaursliežu dzelzcela stigu, vienu no garakajiem un augstakajiem kangariem Stiebrkalnu un savulaik uzpludinato, bet velak nolaisto Pilu Dika vigu. Maza Peterezera krasta izveidota atputas vieta. Savdabigu ainavu veido zalu purvini, lamas, upites un ezerini. Pavasaros un rudenos vigas parveršas garenos, gruti parejamos sezonas ezerinos.

The nature path leads over the old dunes and wet lowlands between the dunes what have formed the several thousand years before. In that ancient period the sea was covering all that particular area.
In those times every dune and every wet lowland had their own name but in nowadays no one remembers or even knows the names. The specific names (Viskangars, Kusperlankviga) rose from the old Libian language.
Peterezera nature path crosses the former Northkurland narrow gauge railway place, also crosses one of the longest and highest dunes named Stiebrkalns and in that times flooded but afterwards lowered Pilu Dika lowland. The camping and resting place is situated on the bank of small Peterezera lake. The specific nature trail landscape is characterized by different herbage swamps, springs and little rivers, lakes. In spring and in fall time the wet lowlands turn into lengthy seasonal lakes.
