"Go outside, get into nature and make your own discoveries!" That is what Dr. Scott challenges his viewers to do at the end of each Dinosaur Train episode. In support of this call to action, The Jim Henson Company has hidden Dinosaur Train themed geocaches nationwide with the help of local PBS stations. To find the location of other Dinosaur Train themed geocaches, simply search for "Dinosaur Train" in the keyword search option. Each geocache celebrates a dinosaur featured in the Dinosaur Train Field Guide on the PBS Kids website, http://pbskids.org/dinosaurtrain/games/fieldguide.html.
This geocache is the Oryctodromeus geocache. Oryctodremeus is a little dinosaur that used its arms and snout to dig burrows, and then raised its young in these shelters. Burrows provided protection from predators, as well as from cold or heat. Oryctodromeus would not have been a very good geocache hider though, because geocaches should never be buried or hidden in an animal's burrow.
