Geocache Description:

Start

The published coordinates are a good a place as any to park for this multi that will take you on a bit of a walk around the Auckland CBD. Waypoint 1 is pretty close by.

To complete the coordinates of Waypoint 1 you'll need:
YYY = 034
ZZZ = 259

Waypoint 1

S 36 51.YYY E 174 45.ZZZ

A short walk from the published coordinates, you will arrive at Waypoint 1. Look around you for 3 large white digits on a green background. You probably won't be able to see them anymore from here as the vegetation behind the fence has grown quite tall, so you might have to go for a bit more of a walk down the hill before you can look back up and see them. To this three digit number we'll add 2 and call the result A.

The coordinates of Waypoint 2 are calculated as follows:
WWW = YYY + (A x 2) + 11
XXX = ZZZ + (A / 3) - 13

Waypoint 2

S 36 50.WWW E 174 45.XXX

When you arrive at Waypoint 2, see if you can spot two white numbers on a blue background. The smaller number we'll call B and the large we'll call C.

The coordinates of Waypoint 3 are calculated as follows:
UUU = WWW + [1st digit of B] + [1st digit of C]
VVV = C + ZZZ - ((B - C) x [final digit of A]) + ([1st digit of XXX] x YYY)

Waypoint 3

S 36 50.UUU E 174 45.VVV

At Waypoint 3 you will need to locate 2 plaques that are side by side on a curved surface. Add all the digits from the plaques together to give one 2 digit number, which we will refer to as D.

To get to Waypoint 4 perform the following offset:
Distance (m) = ((D - 15) x [last digit of XXX]) + (C - B)
Bearing (true) = VVV - (D x 3) - [1st digit of WWW] + 45

Waypoint 4

S 36 ??.??? E 174 ??.???

When you get to Waypoint 4, you will find yourself standing in front of a garage door. Above the door is a number, and this number we will call E.

To make your way to Waypoint 5 perform the following offset:
Distance (m) = E + (11 x [1st digit of YYY])
Bearing (true) = XXX - B

Waypoint 5

S 36 ??.??? E 174 ??.???

At Waypoint 5 take a look around you. Add together the white numbers on red background, and let the result be F. Count the number of white letters on blue and we'll call this G. Count the number of white letters on brown, and this will be H.

To get to Waypoint 6 perform the following offset:
Distance (m) = (3 x G) - ((H + 3) x F) - E
Bearing (true) = ([1st digit of UUU] x G) - ([1st digit of A] x F)

Waypoint 6

S 36 ??.??? E 174 ??.???

When you reach Waypoint 6, you will find yourself standing on an island. On this island, add together the black numbers on yellow background - we'll call this J. Count the arrows (including the ones you're not sure should be included) and this will be called K.

The coordinates of the Final can now be calculated as follows:
SSS = J + (K x 2) + [middle digit of C] - 1
TTT = (K - [middle digit of C]) x J + K + [middle digit of C]

Final

S 36 51.SSS E 174 45.TTT

At the Final in keeping with tradition, you'll (hopefully, if you didn't get too confused along the way) find the final cache. You'll be searching for a 200mL sistema container with some camouflage. Please cover it well when you rehide it.

A prize of a suitably energy renewing kind has been included for the FTF!
