The Newton Road starts at All Saints Church in West Bromwich and finishes just over 2 miles further down the road at The Scott Arms Shopping Centre in Great Barr.
A new cycle/footway has just been constructed along this stretch to link the Bridleway behind Churchfields to Forge Lane junction and the Crematorium. The link also runs along the south side of Newton Road and forms part of the West Bromwich to Scott Arms cycle route.
The cache is hidden close to West Bromwich's new £3.2million crematorium, which is due to open August 2010. The cache is a cheeky bison keyring and does not contain a pen.
You do not need to enter the crematorium grounds to find this cache as it is accessible from the public footpath. Please respect visitors to the crematorium if you wish to use the parking facilities. There is an alternative parking area in a layby close to the church (grab a bacon sarnie if the snack van is there).
