Geocache Description:

Along FM 1218 at the southeast corner of New Mexico on the Texas border

the southeastern corner of New Mexico and can be reached via a leisurely drive on Texas FM 1218 (this doesn't appear on regular road atlases; get a "real" Texas state road atlas). Be sure to approach from the south for the best view of the Kermit sand hils; a fun stop is along TX 115 about 5 miles southeast of the cache. The cache itself is located at the state boundary corner near the ruins of an old survey marker, with a new pole and survey reflector recently installed.

Do watch for cattle on the highway!
