Na žalost moram sporočiti, da ladjice Dravska vila od 1. decembra 2023 dalje ni več. S tem, ko so zgradili Splavarski most, so ji onemogočili plovbo po Dravi navzdol od tukajšnjega priveza. Drugi razlog pa je, da so menda prepovedali plovbo večjim ladjam in jih selijo po Dravi navzgor, nad elektrarno na Limbuško nabrežje.
Zapluti bi morala že oktobra 2007, a kot vidim, so jo pripeljali v Maribor šele 6. januarja 2010, kar se jaz še dobro spomnim. Izdelali so jo namreč v Srbiji v ladjedelnici Utva, a so se pošteno ušteli pri izračunu teže. Namesto planiranih 27 ton, je bila po zaključku težka kar 47 ton!!!
"Najprej se je gradnja tipskega modela rečne ladjice zavlekla zaradi prilagoditve višini mariborske Studenške brvi, potem naj bi čakali na agregate, zamujala naj bi tudi notranja oprema, nato pa naj bi ladjedelničar - vojvodinsko podjetje Utva Mepro - zabredel v finančne težave. Ko je bil katamaran s slaščičarno in kavarno na njem in s prostori za 150 ljudi navsezadnje sestavljen, je bil tako velik, da sploh ni bilo jasno, kako naj ga pripeljejo v Maribor in spustijo na reko."
Iz Slovenije so poslal v Srbijo tovorno dvigalo, ki pa je imelo premalo nosilnost, da bi jo dvignili iz vode. Ko so pripeljali novo dvigalo, so ladjico naložili na prikolico, a se je le-ta sesedla in prevoz ni bil mogoč. Z novo prikolico je potem šlo, a se je transport ustavil, ker je zapadel sneg.
Služila nam je celi h 13 let, tudi mi smo se kdaj pa kdaj popeljali z njo. Naj bo ta zakladek lep spomin na čas, ko je Dravi vladala Dravska vila.

A cargo lift was sent from Slovenia to Serbia, but it had insufficient capacity to lift it out of the water. When they brought in a new lift, they loaded the boat onto the trailer, but it collapsed and transportation was not possible. It then went with the new trailer, but the transport stopped because it snowed.
She served us for the whole 13 years, and we also took her for a ride from time to time. Let this treasure be a beautiful memory of the time when Drava was ruled by the Drava Villa.
