Cache is a nano. It contains only a log. Bring your own pencil.
A primary concern of homesteaders was establishing adequate shelter. On the open prairie where building materials were limited the first home of many settlers was either a soddy or a dugout. As could be expected, most have returned to the soil that they came from leaving little indication that they had ever been there. Remarkably, this dugout still has quite a few timbers from it’s roof and cribbing intact, but they too have deteriorated considerably since I first saw them 30 years ago.
As with all rural Wyoming caches, watch for things that can stick, sting, or bite you.
Congratulations to Casperlookers for First to Find!!
Happy Trails!!!
