NÁRODNÍ MSTITEL
Jednotka, která se vytvořila kolem patnáctičlenného výsadku ze
SSSR, který pristál 25. brezna 1945 mezi Brocnem (okres Litoměřice)
a Chudolazy (okr. Mělník). Letoun s desantem(velitel major Rudé
armády Kaniscev;, zást. velitele Popjuk, politický komisar Oskar
Beneš, nácelník štábu Jacenko, radisté Vybornov, Kozelková a Cenko,
felcarka Koreckaja,poddustojníci Balkanov, Pojcenko a Baijasa a
vojíni Bondarenko, Kolacev,Jefimov a Bogujev) byl napaden
protiletadlovou palbou nepřítele a proto byl seskok proveden v
odtrženém pohraničí namísto na Mělnicku. Deseti parašutistům se
podařilo uniknout německému pronásledování a koncem března se
přemístili do okolí Repína.Postupne na sebe napojili místní
ilegální odbojové skupiny a uprchlé sovetské zajatce. Za podpory
těchto sítí rozvinula formující se jednotka organizátorskou,
agitační a bojovou činnost,prestoze působila v převážně zemědělském
kraji s malým množstvím rozlehlejších lesních prostor, s hustou
sítí komunikací a v oblasti přesycené nacistickými bezpečnostními a
vojenskými složkami a útvary.Brigáda, jíž velel mjr. Kaniscev,
provedla celkem 7 větších destrukcí a v 6 střetech bojovala s
okupanty. Dvě úspěšné akce na železnici vsak vzbudily velkou
pozornost nacistu. Komisar gestapa Leimer nasadil do pátrání svého
nejlepšího konfidenta Finka a pobyt partyzánu mela upřesnit
rádiová zaměřovací jednotka. 24.dubna byla obec Zahájí obklíčena
německými vojáky. V poslední chvíli varovaní partyzáni nepozorovaně
prošli obklíčením, menší skupina upoutala palbou pozornost na sebe
a tak kryla únik zbytku oddílu. Dva partyzáni (Vybornov a Andronov)
v boji padli, zraněný komisar Beneš se zastřelil. Pres tyto dílčí
ztráty gestapo muselo vyhodnotit tuto akci jako neúspěšnou.V
průběhu Květnového povstání českého lidu brigáda mobilizovala
obyvatelstvo Mělnicka k odporu, její příslušníci vyšli vítězně z
tvrdých srážek s německou motorizovanou jednotkou 7. a 8. kvetna v
Repíne, Radouni a Mělnickém Vtelně.Partyzánská brigáda, jez po
válce vykazovala asi 240 osob (v květnu 1945 aktivizovala na 700
osob), utrpěla i citelné ztráty.Památku padlých připomíná pomník na
návsi v Radouni a obnovený pomníček Josefu Vítkovi, který byl
obnoven 8.5.2009 Obecním úřadem Mel. Vtelno a Spolkem pro voj.
pietní místa. 8. května 1945, při vynucování průjezdu německých
kolon od Mladé Boleslavi a Kropáčovy Vrutice v Mělnickém Vtelne
padli: Josef Kneibl, Josef Salac (rolník Mel. Vtelna), Istvan
Czegledi (maďarský voják). Padlí bojovníci byli pohrbeni 12. 5.
1945 na katolickém hřbitově ve společném hrobe za velké účasti
obyvatel. Památku padlých připomíná malý pomníček u silnice, který
byl obnoven 8.5.2009 Obecním úřadem Mel. Vtelno a Spolkem pro
voj.pietní místa.<br />

The National Avenger unit was formed around a 15-member Soviet paratroop unit which was
dropped between the villages of Brocno (district Litomerice) and
Chudolazy (district Melnik) on the 25th March 1945. The plane
carrying the Soviet unit (the Red Army commander Major Kaniscev,
deputy commander Popjuk, political commissar Oskar Benes, chief of
staff Jacenko, radio operators Vybornov, Kozelkova, Cenko, field
medic Koreckaja, NCO Balkanov, Pojcenko, Baijasa and privates
Bondarenko, Kolacev, Jofimov, Bogujev) was attacked by enemy
anti-aircraft fire and therefore the paras were dropped in the
severed Sudetenland instead of the Melnik region. The paratroopers
managed to evade the German pursuit and moved to the surroundings
of Repin at the end of March. They connected themselves step by
step with the regional underground resistance groups and escaped
Soviet POW’s. The unit started organization, recruiting and
combat activities with support< of these networks, despite the
fact that it operated in the predominantly agricultural region
without any large forests, with a dense road network, and in an
area saturated with the Nazi security and military units. The
brigade commanded by major Kaniscev completed altogether 7 larger
destructive missions and it fought 6 times in skirmishes with the
occupying forces. However, two successful railway operations
aroused great Nazi attention. Gestapo commissar Leimer engaged in
the search his best confident Fink as well as the radiolocation
unit to pinpoint the location of the partisans. The German soldiers
encircled the village Zahaji on the 24th April. The partisans were
warned at the last minute and managed to escape the encirclement
unobserved. One smaller group captured the enemy’s attention
by making a diversion which helped the rest of the unit to escape.
Two partisans (Vybornov and Andronov) were killed in action, and
the wounded commissar Benes shot himself. Despite these losses, the
operation was not deemed successful by the Gestapo. The Brigade
mobilised the inhabitants of the Melnik district into revolt during
the May uprising of the Czech nation. Its members were victorious
in fierce combats with a German motorised unit in Repin, Radoun and
Melnicke Vtelno on the 7th and 8th May. The partisan brigade had
approximately 700 active members in May 1945, but it suffered heavy
losses and counted only approximately 240 members post WW II. The
memorial on the village square of Radonin commemorates the fallen,
and Josef Vitek is honoured on a small memorial renewed on the 8th
May 2009 by the Municipal authority of Melnicke Vtelno and the
Society for Reverent Military Places. The following men fell in
Melnicke Vtelno during the forced transit of German convoys from
Mlada Boleslav and Kropacova Vrutice: Josef Kneibl, Josef Salac
(farmer), Isztvan Czegledi (Hungarian soldier) The fallen
combatants were buried in the catholic cemetery in a shared grave
in the presence of great many inhabitants on 12th May 1945. A small
memorial near the road honours the memory of the fallen men. The
memorial was renovated on the 8th May 2009 by the Melnicke Vtelno
municipal authority and the Society for the Reverent Military
Places.
