Monumentholmen skulle ha blivit platsen för en pampig byst av Gustav III. Fundamentet byggdes 1799, men bysten kom aldrig dit. Idag har vi så ett pampigt fundament på en kulle att glädja oss åt.
Monumentholmen är en av få platser i Ekerö kommun där det alltid är tillåtet att låta hundar springa fria. Burken är på ca 0.5 liter, och innehöll från början loggbok, penna och stashnote, samt tre små bytessaker: två sudd och en magnet.
Man kan hitta cachen utan att röra några stenar. Det är ännu lättare med en ficklampa. När man väl sett den, behöver man flytta på en liten sten för att komma åt cachen.

Monument Island was supposed to become the site of a magnificent bust of king Gustav III. The foundation was built in 1799, but the bust was never built. Today we have such a magnificent foundation on a hill to rejoice.
Monument Island is one of the few places in Ekerö where it is always allowed to let dogs run free. The cache container is about 0.5 liters, and from the start it holds a logbook, a pen and a stashnote, and three little items for trade: two erasers and a magnet.
It is possible to find the cache without touching any rocks. It is even easier with a flashlight. Once you have seen it, you need to move a small stone to get to the cache.
