Geocache Description:

A scenic spot on Boundary Peak Trail.

Spectacular views! From this point, you can look South and see Lake Cochiti on the Rio Grande, to the North, Bandelier National Monument, tent rock formations, and the town of Los Alamos.

From New Mexico State Highway 4, take Forest Road (FR) 289. Turn left on Dome Road, still marked as FR-289. Turn left again at waypoint TURN and continue up until you reach the trail head. A high ground clearance vehicle is strongly recommended!

The cache is about 1/2 mile past the trail head. Consider continuing on this trail and scrambling up Boundary Peak - worth the extra effort!

The original cache contains an Alaskan Amber fishing lure among various other items ... let me know if you catch anything with it!
