The Topolia gorge begins just past Topolia village directing south. It’s 1500m long and ends at Kartsomatado village.
The gorge is full of plane-trees, wild olive-trees, flowers, and bushes. Its walls are 300m high, and the width in some cases is only 5m.
The area of Topolia is protected by the E.U. NATURA Project.
The cache is placed on the narrow curvy mountain road, at a parking place with impressive view over the gorge. It’s near the north entrance of Topolia tunnel, which is wide enough for only one vehicle, thus turning its crossing into an adventurous experience.
The cache is a film canister with a logbook, so you need to have your own pen.
Please beware of muggles. If you are lucky, you will be alone in the parking place to search and log in peace. But a lot of people stop there to admire the view, even full buses! Just be patient, they don’t stay there for long! And please, hide the cache well at the same spot.
