Geocache Description:

What is Cache to Eagle? Cache to Eagle is a series of public geocaches hidden at or near the sites of Boy Scout Eagle projects to highlight their service to the community.

Reaching the rank of Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America requires years of dedication and hard work. In addition to the 90-plus requirements and 21 merit badges, each Scout must complete a project that requires countless hours of planning, dedicated leadership, and commitment for their community, religious institution or school.

One hundred and ten million boys have joined the Boy Scout of America since 1910 and only 2 million have obtained the rank of Eagle.

This cache highlights the work of three Eagle Scouts from Troop 18 of St. Cloud, MN.

Project #1

The “Hidden Lake Park” rock and raised flower garden, along with the landscaping around and by the main building was completed in the summer of 2007.

Project #2

There are several black “Bat” boxes attached to trees along the walking path within the park. This was completed in the winter of 2006. This project also helped out Warner Lake Park in Clearwater, MN.

Project #3

The shelter, on the north side of the lake, (N 45° 27.731 / W 094° 12.124), was completed in the spring of 2007.

Over all more then 500 hours of service was given to the community in these three projects.
