I just put this one to show where to start for this short set of caches.
If you have a car you will likely have to walk from here.
It should only be a little more than 2 kilometers round trip.
This road is locally known by this name.
Just up the road, at the bottom of the hill on the opposite side of the road there was a shack between the road and the brook. There was a family of Indians lived there. They literally lived off the land. Because of their Indian status they could go onto anyone’s land and they would cut down a tree and take what they needed to make baskets and things. I remember they would get the locals to take their baskets and goods to market. Sometimes they would take them as far as Nova Scotia. I remember that they had a boy that was quite a bit older than I was and he used to work for my father in the woods cutting pulp wood and firewood. They also had a daughter about my age and seeing I lived up the road further and had to walk past here to go to school we would walk to school together. As I remember she was a pretty thing too.
