Geocache Description:

.50 cal can cleverly concealed near the Waste Transfer Facility sign. Trust your GPSr on this one and wait for good signal. The forrest canopy is very dense here in Girdwood, the Northern most rain forrest.

A fellow cacher and I found this location while getting rid of a truckload of refuse gathered during GeocacheAlaska's first ever adopt-a-highway CITO, May 8th, 2010. Keep your eyes open for future CITO events both in Anchorage and along our newly adopted stretch of highway!

There is little in the way of parking but a few close spots exist. Be careful, prying eyes are everywhere. The cache itself is pretty muggle proof but you might get spotted crossing the road on the way to GZ. As usual, please rehide cache exactly as you found it. Thanks and Good Caching!
