Geocache Description:

This is the 7th in a series of caches that are based on places that have colours in its name. These can all be found on the 1:25,000 OS maps of Cornwall.

Blue Hills is an area that is rich in mining heritage that lies between St Agnes's Trevaunance Cove and Trevellas Porth. The Blue Hills Tinstreams that can be found at Trevellas Coombe, is the only active Tin producer at present in Cornwall.
There is also a section of the London-to-Lands End trial that takes place here every Easter, where vintage & veteran cars, trial cars and motorcycles try to make the assent from Trevellas Porth, up the steep, rough & rutted track to the top of the hill.

The cache is a micro ( bottle blank ) that is hidden at the top of the hill. Please be aware that there are high vertical cliffs here, although the cache is well away from them. So keep an eye on the kids and the dogs.

There is parking at the bottom of the hill at Trevellas Porth for those who want to experience the climb that the cars have to make. Or there is an easier flatter option for those who are not so energetic - this parking can be found at the watpoint below.

Enjoy the hunt and the views.
