Geocache Description:

This cache is located in Higashi-Yamato Minami Park of Higashi-Yamato City.
This park is near Tamagwa-Josui Station on the Seibu-Hijima Line and the Tama Urban Monorail. Please visit the web page: http://www.kensetsu.metro.tokyo.jp/kouen/kouenannai/park/english/higashiyamato_minami.pdf

Higashi-Yamato Minami Park is an athletic park that was developed from part of the former US military Yamato Base.
Inside the park is the power plant for the former Hitachi Aircraft Tachikawa Plant.
This building in the park is a historical war-damaged building, designated a Higashiyamato City cultural asset.
The numerous holes in the walls are from machine gun strafing by fighters and bombing during World War II.
