La cale de Jouvente est le premier tronçon de la voie romaine Corseul - Ploubalay vers Pleurtuit et Saint-Malo .Une embarcation au départ de Jouvente permettai le passage vers le lieu dit "Lapassagère, sur l'autre rive de la Rance
Au XVIIIe siècle, le passage de Jouvente appartient aux Baude de La Vieuville, seigneur de Châteauneuf Aaron Magon Du Bosc. Il en acquiert les droits en 1766 pour y établir un bac pour "voitures". Ce projet n'aboutira pas.

Jouvente was an important passage of the river Rance used since Roman times. Slip way of Jouvente was the first section of the Roman road from Corseul - Ploubalay to Pleurtuit - Saint-Malo.A boat from Jouvente allowed passage to the place called "The passenger" on the other side of the Rance.
In the eighteenth century, the passage of Jouvente belongs the family “Baude de la Vieuville”, lord of Chateauneuf Aaron Magon Du Bosc. It acquires the rights in 1766 to establish a “ferry boat for cars". This project will not succeed. Today it’s a small marina and I invite you to discover this charming and mysterious place.
