Geocache Description:

This cache is a small plastic tube hidden near to the monument temple of Ócsa, (Pest county, Hungary) which was built in the 13th century. This cache is also listed on the Hungarian site of GPS games: www.gpsgames.hu. (GG2608) Details are below.

The place where I invite you for visiting is located 25km only from Budapest, the capital city of Hungary. The name of the town is Ócsa, which is a small town in PEST county. Here you will find this romanesque church, which was built in the 13th century and as such it has been witness of the robberies committed by the mongolian hordes raiding our country.
The government had closed the temple in 1986 for reconstruction works that took more than 10 years to finish. Now the temple is in excellent condition and is one of those who remained in Hungary in the best condition from the roman ages.
It might worth it to take a short walk around the church, you can find a few old fashioned country style houses exhibiting the lifestyle of the peasants of the area. It is also possible to participate a guided tour in the temple.
