Geocache Description:

Until the beginning of Showa era, Ukima Park was a part of Arakawa River. Afterwards, Arakawa was re-constructed to more huge river, and some parks has been opened on the old river area. This park is a one of them.
I hid a cache in northern area of the park. It's around 10 minutes walk from JR Ukima-funado Station. Please bring a pen with you.

都立浮間公園はかつては荒川の一部でした。昔日の荒川は「荒ぶる川」が由来といわれるように、クネクネと蛇行する複雑な地形によりたびたび氾濫を起こし、流域に深刻な被害を与えてきました。その後、荒川は大正から昭和初期にわたる大改修により東京湾に至る荒川放水路（現在の赤羽以南の荒川）に姿を変え、旧荒川は隅田川と呼ばれるようになります。浮間公園は、そうした旧荒川の廃河川敷が都市計画公園になった一例です。
このキャッシュは浮間公園の片隅にひっそりと隠されています。座標位置まではJR埼京線、浮間舟渡駅から徒歩10分ほどです。コンテナにはペンがありません。忘れずにご用意ください。
