I am trying to get a few sponsor's for this event in hopes that I can say Thank You to everyone. If I cannot accumulate that much stuff, we will just have prize drawings. Looking forward to seeing you all soon!!!
B.Y.O.T.B.!!! (BRING YOUR OWN TRASH BAG!!!)
This is just my way of saying Thank You to our OVERWORKED & GRACIOUS hosts!!! I want to take a little something off of them and what better way than to do the clean up for them. I ask that every one that attends please bring your own trash bag and help police the area of garbage after the MAIN EVENT. Listen for an announcement from the GW STAFF right after the event closes. We will start at 5pm and clean up until finished or 6:30, whichever comes FIRST!!!
This will make my FOURTH GeoWoodStock event and I felt it was high time to do just a bit more than I normally do, so... I came up with this idea. I ALWAYS volunteer for the TB table (and always will) but this year is different. First I am traveling 2000 miles from home, will be visiting the place I have only traveled through, the Great North West, and get to find all the "wishlist" caches. I have received more from Geocaching than I can ever give back from Geocaching and some of those memories are from GeoWoodStock's of the past. I just want to give back this time. I invite all attendees, NOT GW STAFF (unless you just want to help) to participate in a walk down of the grounds after the event closes at 5pm. We will meet at 5:01pm at a place as yet to be determined and begin the task at hand. I will coordinate with the GW staff as to where the refuse is to go after and handle that as well. So, with all that being said, all you GW Staffers PLEASE, GO PUT YOUR FEET UP AND PAT YOURSELVES ON THE BACK FOR A FANTASTIC JOB WELL DONE!!!
I Hope everyone will pitch in and help clean up the area after the event and we can get it knocked out in no time!!!
