L'église St-Julien fut définitivement détruite en
1944 (il en reste seulement quelques vestiges : voir autre
cache).
Le plan de reconstruction de la ville de Caen
prévoit un emplacement différent, sur les hauteurs surplombant le
jardin des plantes et proche de l'université.
Les travaux furent terminés en avril 1963.
Labellisé par le ministère de la culture "Patrimoine du XXe siècle"
et en juin 2007, l'église est classé monument historique.

The church St-Julien was definitively destroyed
in 1944 (there remains only some vestiges: see the other hiding
place).
The reconstruction plan of the city of Caen
plans a different place, on the heights overhanging the "jardin des
plantes" and close to the university.
The works were ended in April, 1963. Certified
by the Ministry of Culture " Patrimoine du XXe siècle " and in
June, 2007, the church is classified as "Historic Monument"
