[CZ] Obec Podveky se nachází 9 km
jihozápadne od Uhlírských Janovic v nadmorské výšce 480m.
Dominuje jí vrch s barokním kostelem Sv. Havla, obklopený
hrbitovem. Kostel byl znovu vystaven od základu roku 1783 na míste,
kde stával starý kostel pripomínaný již v roce 1350.
První písemná zmínka o Podvekách je z roku 1295 (Regesta Bohemica
RB II). Ves existovala již dríve a její zakladatelé byli
pánové Mladota, Václav, Herman a Martin z Podvek, kterí zde
vystaveli tvrz. Ve 2. polovine 17 století pripadla ves k ratajskému
panství a zustala u neho až do roku 1848.
První škola zde byla založena roku 1877 a postupne byla
rozšírena na ctyrtrídní. V soucasné dobe zde škola
není. Deti od roku 1962 dojíždejí do Rataj n.S. V roce 1993
byla budova školy zrekonstruována a je v ní umísten OÚ,
knihovna a zdravotní stredisko. Na návsi je v provozu hostinec. V
soucasné dobe je v Podvekách 82 císel popisných se 171 trvale
bydlícími obcany. Je zde cinný hasicský sbor, který byl
založen roku 1892. Tato oblast je prevážne zemedelská.
Vetšinu zemedelské pudy obhospodaruje Zemedelské
družstvo Zbizuby.
[EN] Podveky is a small village in
480 metres above the sea level and about 9 km southwest of Uhlirske
Janovice. Its dominated by the hill with the baroque church of
Saint Havel and surrounded by the cemetery. The church was
completely rebuilt in 1783 on the same place where used to be the
church in 1350.
The first written remark about
Podveky is from 1295 (in Regesta Bohemica RB II.). The village had
existed even earlier and its founders were: Mladota, Václav, Herman
and Martin from Podveky who had built the citadel here. The village
devolved to Rataje´s masterdom in the 2nd half of 17th century and
stayed under Rataje until 1848. The first school was established in
1877 and was progressively upgraded to fourclass. At present there
is not any school in Podveky. The children have been moved to
Rataje since 1962. In 1993 the school building had been
reconstructed and currently there are located: District
Authorities, Library and Heath Centre. There is a local pub in the
village green. At present there are 82 descriptive numbers and 171
resident inhabitants in Podveky. The fire-brigade which was founded
in 1892 is still being very productive here. This area of the
region is mainly agricultural and most of the land is being
controlled by Zbizuby Farmers´ Cooperation.
