Geocache Description:

A 2 liter Lock & Lock-type container hidden in the Twin Lakes County Park.

For 100 years, the Boy Scouts of America has helped youth become more than they ever thought possible. And we’ll continue that journey into the next century.

The Venturing program is open to young men and women between the ages of 14 and 20. It is a unique program because it uses extreme outdoor adventure and other Crew focused activities as a method for building character, peer-to-peer bonds, and independence. Geocaching Crews are a great addition to the Venturing Program! This cache is placed in hopes that all young men and women will venture forth to do great things.

This cache was made available to Scouts in the Westchester-Putnam Council, Boy Scouts of America, on April 30, 2010, during its Centennial Camporee. The cache is being made available to the general public beginning on May 7, 2010.

We recommend that you park at N 40 56.9247 W 073 48.1478 and follow the bridle path south towards N 40 56.6404 W 073 48.1516. At that point, you will follow the path OVER the Hutchinson River Parkway southbound, then UNDER the Hutchinson River Parkway northbound. The bridle path continues on the east side of the Hutchinson River Parkway.

In addition to WPCBSA, Treasures of Scouting, AdVenturing Crew, we’ve hidden four other caches highlighting Scouting programs. There is a cache in each district in the council; this one is in Four Rivers District. Find all five! Search WPCBSA, Treasures of Scouting on Geocaching.com.

There is also a sixth “bonus” cache: GC25998. Each of the five WPCBSA, Treasures of Scouting caches contains a clue. Keep track of the clues, and use them to determine the location of the final “bonus” cache, which contains a great FTF prize!
