A magnetic keyholder hidden in typical fashion.
This area shows the effects of the Union City Dam. The dam is a flood control dam completed in 1972 to protect the French Creek Valley. During the spring thaw and during times of very heavy rain, this area resembles a lake. During the drier months, French Creek slowly flows through here. Far off in the distance, a little over two miles, you may be able to see the dam.
If you look to the southwest, you'll see a bald eagles' nest high up in the tree. It's hard to spot once the leaves are out. There haven't been any signs of eagles over the winter but I saw them last summer and hopefully will return this year. This is a hot spot for watching them.
