Kotehashi Shell Mound is a village trace with the large-scale shell mound of the before 2500-3500 years now. There is appointed on the historic spot of the country by the present, and become the park(Leveling pole of Kotehashi Shell Mound in the park) . The shellfish layer spreads through the horseshoe shape in the range of East-West 200m, north-south 150m.
This shell mound is valuable continued until the close in the days of a jomon
and there was interchange with the people of the Inba marsh because Corbicula japonica is included at the large shell mound.
I hide the cache in the place where the exposure of the shell was accepted.

犢橋(こてはし)貝塚は千葉市花見川区にある貝塚で、縄文時代中期～晩期(今から２５００～３５００年前)の大型貝塚を伴う集落跡です。貝層は東西200ｍ、南北150ｍの範囲に馬蹄形(ばていけい)に広がっており、現在では国の史跡に指定され公園となっています（公園の中には犢橋貝塚の標柱があります）。
この貝塚の貴重なところは、縄文時代晩期まで存続した大貝塚で、ヤマトシジミが含まれていることから、北にある印旛沼と交流のあったことが推測されることです。
この貝塚の存在が知られるようになったのは明治時代からで、土器片等の遺物採集や小発掘が行われてきましたが昭和20年以降の学術的な測量や数度にわたる部分的な発掘調査によって次第に貝塚の内容が明らかなり、１９８１年には国の史跡に指定され貝層部分について保存措置がとられました。しかしながらその周辺については、おびただしい数の集落跡が認められたにもかかわらず、未調査のまま宅地造成が開始され、今では犢橋貝塚の集落がどのように展開していたかを解明することは不可能となってしまいました。
キャッシュは貝殻の露出が認められる場所に隠しました。
