Pirates of Geocaching Event Cache

Avast ye landlubbers! The pirates will be dropping anchor near Zanpa point on July 5th to host an event.

They will be hiding several chests around the cove, full of booty and doubloons.

The pirates will be hoisting the Jolly Roger promptly at 1400 and won't be leaving the cove until after all the treasure has been claimed. All treasure will be either claimed by those attending or taken back with the pirates when they hoist anchor at the conclusion of the event.

So come out me hearties for an afternoon of fun and adventure.

All cachers who will be in Okinawa at the time of the event are welcome to attend.

Burgers and dogs will be provided by the pirates. If you plan to attend, please bring a side dish to share along with your own drinks. This is a family event so please no alcoholic beverages.

Please post a Will Attend log with the number of people in your party if you plan on coming to the event. That will help us know how much food to bring so that everyone has something to eat, as well as ensuring there will be enough prizes to hand out to everyone. Please also let us know what you're planning to bring as a side dish.

• Welcome and Intro to the event
• Treasure hunt
• Eating time and awards
• Intro to Geocaching in Okinawa (for newbies and folks still getting their feet wet here on the island. I assure you this will not be a bashing session!)
• And finally so I don't have to walk the plank, a hint will be given to those interested for my puzzle cache A Mysterious Enigma

• sunscreen
• insect repellant
• something to sit on
• plenty of water
• swimming wear if you plan to swim
• jelly fish sting medicine (if you do swim, jellies are everywhere here in Oki)
