Geocache Description:


The cache is located near to the crossing of two bridleways, both of which have a history of being particularly muddy. One is referred to as Tutbury Lane, an ancient covered way, which possibly dates back to the Iron Age. It runs close and parallel to the Fosse Way, between Bretford and Brinklow.

This is another in a series of caches created by ‘A Coventry Way Association’. The association was formed to promote a long distance footpath, A Coventry Way, and to support local authorities in the path’s maintenance. Our primary aim was to encourage people to discover and use the local countryside. A book of 21 Circular Walks was produced, broadly based on the main walk. Our plan is to set out a series of caches, located on or near each of the 21 walks. See (visit link) for further information.

The cache is a small lock and lock style container, containing just a log. There is limited parking at the start of a bridleway at N52 23.682 W1 21.952, but please park with consideration for the local residents. Alternatively, if you intend to complete the whole walk, this starts from Coombe Country Park at N52 24.745 W001 24.549. The cache can be done in conjunction with Stadium View Walk 11 (GC24EJR).
