"Pass it on THIRTEEN" Traditional Geocache

This cache has been archived.

magicman65: Removing this cache. Sad that this series of quality caches was eventually not allowed but people can hide a hundred pill bottles in an area and no one else can hide quality caches along those routes. I blame the reviewers for this!!!

Geocache Description:

Are you superstitious? Do you have Triskaidekaphobia? This cache was placed at 13:13 on February 13th

This cache was placed to carry on the theme cache" Pass it on" by Angelcheeks. These caches are a "chain letter" style where the first to find must pick up the ready to place cache and place it elswhere to carry on the chain. The FTF will find a Lock & Lock container with the cache for them to place. It will be called "Pass It On 14" and they will provide another cache to be the FTF prize for the next cacher and so the chain will continue. FTF can take the New cache to place it elswhere continuing the "pass it on" series, but not the prize inside. There is a PRIZE for the THIRTEENTH Finder. It is an unactivated geocoin. The fear of the number 13 is called triskaidekaphobia. Many buildings have no 13th floor. Next time you fly, see if there is a row 13 in the plane. And for the date, 13 isn't too lucky either, especially when it falls on Friday. That was always thought of as a really bad day to start a new project or to begin a ship voyage. Movers, doctors and dentists say their business drops on Friday the 13th. The good news is that a maximum of three Friday the 13th can occur in a year, and sometimes there is just one. Thirteen may be considered a "bad" number simply because when a group of 13 objects or people is divided into two, three, four or six equal groups, there is always one leftover, or "unlucky", object or person. Usually considered an unlucky number, this double-digit represents Judas, who was the guest at the Last Supper who betrayed Jesus. As a result it is also thought to be unlucky to have a dinner party with 13 guests. Many hotels are missing a thirteenth floor or have omitted the number from their room doors. (Although when you get off on the 14th floor do you really NOT know it's the 13th??) The color associated with the number 13 is black. Some common superstitions about the number 13 are: It is unlucky to have an address with the number 13. It is also unlucky to have 13 letters in your name. Congrats to MUDWICK for the FTF!!!!
