Un village paisible qui a essayé de préserver les traces de son passé.
1/ L’église Saint-Laurent date du début du XIVe siècle et a pu survivre à la Révolution car elle était devenue une église paroissiale. Les moines la construisirent selon les techniques nouvelles de l’époque gothique.
2/ Quant au couvent, il n’en reste que deux vestiges :
- le mur ouest de l’abbatiale du couvent féminin, de l’ordre de Fontevrault, fondé en 1151.
Percée de deux baies romanes, cette maçonnerie doit son état de conservation à la qualité du mortier obtenu avec une chaux vive de première qualité à laquelle sont ajoutés des œufs. Ce mortier résiste notamment à une immersion prolongée.
- le portail d’entrée du couvent des Franciscaines, appuyé sur les ruines du premier établissement, datant du XVIe siècle.

1 / The Church of St. Lawrence dates from the early fourteenth century and has survived the Revolution because it became a parish church. The monks built it according to the new techniques of the Gothic period.
2 / As for the convent, What remains is only two vestiges:
- the west wall of the abbey of the nunnery of the order of Fontevraud, founded in 1151.
Pierced with two Romanesque bays, the masonry is in a good state of conservation due to the quality of the mortar obtained with premium quicklime to which eggs are added. This mortar especially withstands prolonged immersion.
- The entrance gate of the Franciscan convent, built on the ruins of the first institution, dating from the sixteenth century.
