ESPAÑOL

Se puede llegar en coche por la TF-143 en dirección a los Batanes, tomando el desvío de El Moquinal/Pedro Álvarez; o por el camino del Monte de Pedro Álvarez, girando a la izquierda cuando se llegue al final del mismo. En cualquier caso, hay que tomar la pista de tierra que comienza donde termina el asfalto, es un pequeño tramo de un kilómetro hasta las coordenadas de aparcamiento, que se puede realizar en cualquier tipo de vehículo con las debidas precauciones. Una vez allí, toma el sendero que se muestra en la foto.

El cache se encuentra en la antigua hacienda de D. Lorenzo Fuset, donde Francisco Franco solía pasar temporadas de incógnito durante su estancia en la isla. Tras las elecciones generales del 16 de febrero de 1936, fue enviado a la isla como comandante general de Canarias, en un intento de alejarlo de los centros de poder en previsión de un golpe de estado.

You can get by car through the TF-143 to Los Batanes, taking the turn off El Moquinal/Pedro Alvarez; or through camino del Monte in Pedro Alvarez, turning left when you get to the end of it. Anyhow you must take the dirt road. It´s a little tract about 1 Km long until you get to the parking coordinates. You can take any vehicle but being carefull. Once you´re there take the path shown in the picture.

This cache is located in the former property of D. Lorenzo Fuse, where Francisco Franco used to spend time undercovered during his stay on the island. After the general elections of February 16th 1936, he was sent to the island as comandante general (army chief) of the Canary Islands, in an attempt to keep him away from the power centers in a anticipation of a coup.
