This cache is for Gandalf, the Grey Wizard. Gandalf is a
fictional character in J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium, appearing in
The Lord of the Rings.
Gandalf the Grey is a wizard, the first leader of the
Fellowship, and the possessor of one of the three Elf rings which
can be controlled by the Ring of Power. Whether he's really been
killed by the Balrog, a monster of fire, or not, Gandalf will come
back. But this time, our white knight switches to a more
appropriate costume as "Gandalf the White".
Gandalf is a very, very, old wizard and firework-maker by
profession. Gandalf's eyebrows are long, but he knows more than
anyone else, so where the problem goes, he must go too. At least,
that's the plan.
He has a long wiry beard, smokes like a chimney, and is not as
tall as he looks. Gandalf has charisma. Even his horse has
charisma.
"Gandalf" is a name from the Old Norse, meaning something like
"spirit-being with a wooden staff". His name in Elvish means "grey
pilgrim".
Take note of the number in the container lid. This will assist
you with the final cache in the series “The One
Ring.”
All of the caches in this series have been approved by the City of
Eden Prairie. Please obey all park rules (Hours are 6 AM to 10 PM
daily). The trails are not cleared during the winter months. Deer
are frequently seen in this park and their trails can be very
useful. Office attire not recommended.
