FARO DEL CABO DE LAS HUERTAS
La torre del cabo de Huertas se ubicaba en el extremo este del promontorio del mismo, sobre el mar, dominando la bahía de Alicante hasta el cabo de Santa Pola (hacia el sur) y las playas de San Juan y Muchavista hasta Campello (hacia el norte).
En la actualidad no quedan restos visibles que puedan identificarse con la antigua torre vigía de defensa de la costa del cabo de Huertas, también denominada torre del Cap de l’Horta. Probablemente, la torre del siglo XVI fue sustituida, en el mismo lugar, por un faro de 4º orden que entró en funcionamiento en 1856. Este faro se amplió, en su base, con una casa en 1878. No obstante, ninguna de estas edificaciones se mantiene en pie hoy en día. En 1980 se inaugura el nuevo faro, en sustitución del decimonónico, y en esta misma década se derriba lo existente y se construye una nueva casa para el farero. Durante la guerra de 1936-39 se ejecutaron obras de defensa y, a lo largo del s. XX, se erigieron unos anexos a la vivienda y un almacén.
En el interior del recinto vallado del cabo de Huertas se levantan, desde la costa hacia el interior, por este orden: (1) el faro, (2) la casa con anexos, (3) cuatro baterías y (4) un almacén junto al acceso a la parcela.

The tower "cabo de Huertas" was located in the end this of the promontory of the same, on the sea, dominating the bay of Alicante until the end of Santa Pola (towards the south) and the beaches of San Juan and Muchavista until Campello (towards the north).
At present they are not visible rest, that can identify with the old tower of defense of the coast of the end of "Cabo de Huertas". Probably, the tower of century XVI was replaced, in the same place, by a lighthouse of 4º order that entered operation in 1856. This lighthouse was extended, in its base, with a house in 1878. However, no of these constructions stays still on nowadays. In 1980 the new lighthouse is inaugurated, replacing the nineteenth-century one, and in this same decade the existing thing is demolished and a new house for farero is constructed. During the war of 1936-39 defensive installations were executed and, throughout the s. XX, Annexes to the house and a warehouse were elevated.
Inside the fence enclosure of the end of Kitchen gardens they rise, from the coast towards the interior, by this order: (1) the light, (2) the house with Annexes, (3) four batteries and (4) a warehouse next to the access to the parcel.
